Description

Charles Harrison Stedman, M.D. (1805-1866) was one of the original founders of the first national medical society in the United States, the Association of Medical Superintendents of American Institutions for the Insane, now the American Psychiatric Association. He also served as the first medical coroner in Massachusetts.
