My dearest-my love-
This way of not seeing you is getting on my nerves, and I don't like it one bit. Do you? Got to the courthouse with Latta this afternoon just a few minutes too late-- you had left for home.
As soon as I came down this afternoon I got busy getting some of the printers and Williams registered. They are all for you and everybody on the democratic ticket except Weaver.
Darling the politics will soon be over and I am getting some of my work lightened so after the election I will not have any thing to do in the afternoon's. With you at home won't that be nice?
Mr. Burdett has returned from a trip to buy paper and after looking over the work I have been doing since going on the desk, he called me into his office and said the paper had been the best ever- said I had been putting out a better paper than Bob--his personal friend had. Also informed me that he would suggest to Baker that I be made night editor with full authority, and that new state man be secured.

I had a letter from Baker stating that we would not have a certain animal to worry with and that I would be placed in charge when he is not here, retaining my workas night editor, at an increase in salary. Don't that sound good dear?
Ex, darling, you are not mad at me for not being able to be with you during the afternoon for the last threedays-- seems much longer than three-- are you? I am sure you know I loveyou all the time and that I want to be with you even better than you want to be with me.
Darling I have got to get busy on the Sunday sheet-- am trying to get out a good one-- especially for the democrats.. Made some arrangements today for some of the right sort of editorials for you about Monday in this paper and in the Labor Advocate.
My old frame is down here but you have my heart and soul with you on Hollywood street-- right up close-- dear.
Your Eller who is endeavoring to merit your love.
