to death when we give their children candy.
That is something they don't get here anymore. They
don't have the sugar to make it with. It all
went to Germany before we came. When we go
down the street the little children and even
grown people are asking us for Bon Bons,
chewing gum, smasic[?]. They don't have any of
this to ammaint to anything.

The boys are calling me little chief because
I was mad assistant naval mail clerk this
week. That is I am just in charge when the chief
is away. No promotion or anything like that.

Well we had a bunch of air mail to come in
today and no letter for me. I am still looking for
mail and I hope I will get some before the week
is gone.

I'm still feeling fine and getting along swell.
Not a thing for you to worry about. Just think
all the time of the little boy in Africa that is loving
you so much and wouldn't be with no other woman
on earth if I couldn't be with you. They don't interest
me a bit in the world. I love you so much and
am just looking forward to the day when I can be back
with you.

I love you, Harry
