My dearest Thomas,

I'm glad you have stopped writting Vmail
for as slow as air mail is that's even better than
Vmail. I don't know when we have had any Vmail,
I can remember when we did get Vmail it will break
loose before long and I reckon and we will be swamped
with it. It might be alright someplace but here
I'd rather get three cent mail that is even faster.
If I didn't get anything but Vmail I would be tearing
my hair out by now looking for a letter.

Looks as if we are nearly out of debt. Wont it feel
good to be free of bills and not owe anyone. You are
doing wonderful. Don't deny yourself however for I want
you to have anything you can get.

I'm glad you at last found some shoes, poor
little feet don't they have a hard time. I would love
to see you in the new evening dress for I know
you look just precious. You always did look so lovely in
evening dress. Can't wait to see you. Glad you got it
for I know how had you needed one. You do love
to wear them too, don't you!
