My dearest Thomas,

Did not write you last night for
I spent my spare time writing postal cards
to your Children, thought I would send them
some post cards from Africa. Wish I could
have gotten some with good scene but cards are
even scarce now.

The letters that I wrote for yesterday and
day before have not left yet. Guess it doesn't
make much difference as they are a long time
reaching you anyway. Our Officer has been away
for the past few days and we haven't had any
censoring done. You will get three or for days
mail with the same date.

Olson, chief and I went ashore again yesterday
we saw [begin underline] Navy Blues [end underline]. It was very good, ver funny
and good amusement. We enjoyed it late. After the
show went looking for cards then messed around
last night writing some of them.
