Dear Mother,

How are you this time?
Fine I hope.

Had a couple of letters from you.
Think I had about 8 from Cleo. ha!
ranging from the 20th of Aug. to the
2 of Sept.

although I don't know if she is shooting
me a line or not, which I don't care
much myself.

That is one thing that don't bother
me, girls.

Al least not [crossed out] now. About 6 months
before I came in the Navy it did.
If you know what I mean. You know
she came to the house a few times.
I also had one from Maydell too.
If I don't have time to write her
tell her I received it. Will you?
and will write when I can.
