Tomatoes.

The purpose of the Girl's Canning and Poultry Club, is to crate a greater interest in Agriculture among girls, and to teach them how to can fruits and vegetables, and raise poultry, thereby giving them a means of making some money of their own.

I enrolled as a member of the club because my mother approved of it and I thought it would give me something to do.

The tomato, is a well known garden vegtetable, which is extensively cultivated as an article of food. In old times it was highly prized as a flower, being cultivated under the name of "Love apple". And was not considered edible. Just think of the real enjoyment our forefathers missed in not eating "Love Apples". We think
