This tide Runs 2 or 3 Knots [CLING?] and [FLOOING?] 5 6 or 7 feet As you're going eastwards from Martha's Vineyard through the Sound intending over Nantucket Sholes [???] your [???] from The East Chop [HORNISHOLD] EBS until you pass the Light Then Bring the Light to bare west and make your [???] [???] E of it will convey you over the sholes ships channel [w?] and you will have from 1 1/2 to 10 fathoms of water uneven ground when you are over you will deepen from 10 to [???] fathoms Then streering north you will make the [???] [???] of the Cape Cod provides you [???] to go through.

North channel you will [illegible] the above directions until you are past the Light. Bring it to bear SW by W from 3 to 10 fathoms Of water then runs until you have Crassed the Pollock Rip
