The weather for a month or more has been ucommonly moderate, or even longer (2 or 3 days in the beginning excepted) Many people say the weather has continued moderate longer at one time than ever was known before. Sudden changes has been the course generally, much wet & rain with storms, but not hard. One day bright sun next day a storm.

A snow Storm covered the ground 5 or six inches
8 2m/o This morning Thur. [THERMOMETER] at 16 - and Clear.

9th
Anual [ANNUAL] meeting finished the business & adjoined [ADJOURNED] one week.
Congress is now sitting, but doing nothing respecting French spoliations, prior to 1800.
Massts. [MASSACHUSETTS] Legislature is now sitting.
Frequent cases of small Pox occurs among us perhaps more than ever was known before in the time. Several deaths have taken place.

In the early part of the first month our harbor Skimmed over with Ice, but so hard as to prevent vessels passing in and out. Since which it has not been cold enough to cover it with Ice. Which renders very favorable an acct. [ACCOUNT] of Wood & many other things. Fis [FISH] of various kinds have been plentiful every day.
The farmers also take advantage of the moderate by making improvements on their farms.
The Baptist Mg. [MEETING] house is finished & occupied by a large Congregation.
