part set boats watches. Ship under
short sail. Latter part the same.

Tuesd [TUESDAY]
April 7th
First part wind bloing [BLOWING] a gale from
the eastward. Ship on the northern
tack under spencers. Miudle [MIDDLE] part
the same. Latter part wind veared [VEERED]
to South. Ship heading to the East.
Wind bloing [BLOWING] a gale. Lat [LATITUDE] 29 50 175 43

April 8th
First part wind bloing [BLOWING] a gale from
the south. Ship heading the same.
Midle [MIDDLE] part took in maintopsail. Latter
part wind moderating. Made sail
accordingly. So ends Lat [LATITUDE] 29 40 176 32

April 9th
First part strong breezes from South.
Ship under double reafs [REEFS] stearing
E.S. East by the wind. Midle [MIDDLE] part
and latter stearing the same. 29 28 177, 32
Frid [FRIDAY]
April 10th
First part brisk breezes from the same.
Ship stearing the same. Midle [MIDDLE] part
and latter wind bloing [BLOWING] heavy. Saw
two sails stearing the same under
short sail. So ends Lat [LATITUDE] 29 00 178 07
Satur [SATURDAY]
April 11th
First part wind much the same.
At 2 P.M spoke and borded [BOARDED] bark
Joseph Butler. Her captain is verry
sick man. At 6 PM wore ship to
S. West under spencers. Midle [MIDDLE] part
the same. Latter more moderate.
Made sail. Double reafs [REEFS]. Saw two
barks. So ends in Lat 29 06 177 32
