First part light winds
ship stearing to North. Saw a
sail. At 4 P.M lored [LOWERED] two boats
for blackfish but gone none.
Midle [MIDDLE] part stearing. Latter part
stearing to south in Lat [LATITUDE] 40 179 50
Satur [SATURDAY]
Augus [AUGUST] 22nd
First part brisk trades. At 2 P.M spoke
ship Mary of Nantucket 11 months 2,50.
Midle [MIDDLE] part incompany. Latter
part spoke again. Got provisions
out of her. Capt. [CAPTAIN] Winslow and
family went onboard of her to
spend the day. In Lat [LATITUDE] 15 miles 179 36
Sund [SUNDAY]
Augus [AUGUST] 23rd
First part brisk breezes. Midle [MIDDLE]
part the same. Latter wore ship
to South. So ends 40 S [SOUTH] 179 56
Mond [MONDAY]
Augus [AUGUST] 24th
First part briks breeze. Ship stear [STEERING[
to north. Saw a sail. At 6 P.M wore
ship to south. Midle [MIDDLE] part and latter
stearing the same. Emploid [EMPLOYED] taring [TARRING] down
riging [RIGGING]. So ends in Lat [LATITUDE] 1 22 179 45 E [EAST]
Tuesd [TUESDAY]
Augus [AUGUST] 25th
First part moderat [MODERATE] breezes. Ship stearing
to south. All sail set. Saw a sail.
Stearing to N. East. Midle [MIDDLE] part tacked
to N. East. All sail. Latter the same.
