Saw a finback. Saw two sails. Lat [LATITUDE]

Sep [SEPTEMBER] 13th
First part brisk breezes. Ship stearing to
the north. All sail. At 6 P.M wore to
south. Midle [MIDDLE] part the same. Latter part
wore ship to south. Emploid [EMPLOYED] stoing [STOWING] down
in oil in main hole. So ends 00 33 N [NORTH] 179 04

Tuesd [TUESDAY]
Sep [SEPTEMBER] 14th
First part saw three sails and saw
finbacks. At 4 P.M spoke ship Desdamona
of New Bedford 22 months out. 450 sperm
Midle [MIDDLE] part took a heavy squal [SQUALL] split
fly jib. Latter part fine weather
saw the same sail in Lat [LATITUDE] 00 18 S [SOUTH] 178 47

Wedns [WEDNESDAY]
Sep [SEPTEMBER] 15th
First part moderate breezes. Ship
stearing to south. Saw two sails.
Emploid [EMPLOYED] mending & bending fly job.
Midle [MIDDLE] part wore ship to north. Latter
stearing the same. So ends Lat [LATITUDE] 00 09 179 09

Thurs [THURSDAY]
Sep [SEPTEMBER] 16th
First part brisk breezes. Ship stearing
the same. Emploid [EMPLOYED] regulating fore hole.
At 4 P.M spoke ship Mohawk got
6 bbls. of provisions such as meet [MEAT].
Wore ship to south. Midle [MIDDLE] part Lat [LATTER]
part wore to North. So end L. [LATITUDE][

First part stearing to N. East. Emp [EMPLOYED]
regulating after hole. At 7 PM wore
ship to south. Midle [MIDDLE] part tacked
to north. Latter stearing the same.
