I left home for the Camp at Williams tent Oct 23 1862 took the cars at Upton at ( ) with a heavy heart--arrived in Baltimore and put up at the mansion house in Foyert Street, arrived at the Calvert ( ) in time to take the 700 trans for Harrisburgh but on acept of hearing no pass for my ( ) bag ( ) I
could not get off until

at night went to 3 hotels

could get lodgings staid
