[tab]Sederunt the Principal, Professors Williamson,
Murray, Bell, and Mowat, and
Rev. J.H. McKerras Interim Professor of Classics.

[tab]The minutes of last meeting were read and approved.

[margin]Otytawa prize Essay[/margin][tab]The Principal a prize of the
value of $40 from certain friends at Ottawa
for an Essay to be open to all students in
Arts for session 1865-6. The Senatus agreed the[to?]
denominate the prize the Ottawa prize.

[margin]Rev. J McMorine to[/margin][tab]The Senatus agreed to recommend the Senate
[margin]be recommende as D.D.[/margin]to confer the degree of Doctor of Divinity upon
the Rev. John Mcmorine of Ramsay, and in consideraiton
of hyis valuable services to the Church and
of his long connection with the Board of Trustees resolved
to dispense in his case with the usual fees.
