at the termination of this contract, in as good order as
they are put into for him, reasonable wear & [aso?] & casual-
ties excepted.

And the said Society in consideration
of the premises hereby agree with the said Russell to
pay to him the yearly sum of six hundred dollars, in
equal quarterly payments on the first day of June,
the first day of September, - the first day of Decem-
ber and the first day of March, and also to give him
the free & full use and enjoyment of the Cottage erected
at Mount Auburn.

In Witness whereof the said
Society have caused this instrument to be subscribed
by their President, and the said James W. Russell
has hereto set his hand the day & year first above
written.
