Sept 1 -22, 1845

1845 Sept. 1st covered in tobacco house
& began to pull fodder here at
home _ Mr. Taylor & Birchet came
at night to commence painting our

2nd [unclear] Sent for my wife. Just
returned from Charlotte
Mr. Taylor & Birchet painting outside
house - cutting fodder

12th Finished cutting fodder at Stony Point
Painted the roof of our house this day

15 Cutting tobacco,

16 Culling tobacco & finished
cutting fodder
Finished painting outside of house

17 Painters finished this evening

18 Painters left this morning
[unclear] tobacco & cutting tops
etc this day

20 & 21 I am sick & failed to go to
meeting at Strait Stone

22 Picking turnip patch, halling
rails & Mr. P. Phil gome to Ricev [Riceville] [unclear]
[unclear] balance + cutting tobacco

which she gave my wife, flour Bbe full
