It has often been observed by us how very unaccountable
that so much need be said to alure us to
love & unequivocal surrender upon ourselves & all our
dearest interests to the entire dispocal of such a
Being as God! A Being infinitely good powerful &
indeed infinitely excellent in every perfection!
Who, though such a Being possessed of infinite
power to produce miriad of adoreing Spirits [?]
can have no need of us or our services shoud condesend
by offering to covenant with us! That He
woud be our God! Is is not enough to melt a stone!
to think seriously of the condesention of such an
almighty Being? Can we hesitate for
a moment as to the choice we shoud make? With
humility allow me to request to join you in most
devoutly praying to our heavenly Father that He
woud be pleased to inspire us with true genuine
gratitude & affection for His infinite kindness &
compassion to us that he woud please
to accept of us & keep us from all sin
[injustice?]
