it will not be long before they
may be joined in the bonds
of wedlock. It seems strange to
think how death and marriage
have been united in our neighborhood
lately. A funeral went
from this first house on sixteenth
street the other day, &
a wedding in the same neighborhood
this morning. Some of
us are taking dress-making lessons,
and soon as our calico dresses
are finished we will wear
them to reception. I must
now close, hoping to hear
from you soon. With love I
