Aunt Sarah is on her way
home, soon [out?], I suppose, with
nursing. Her trunks have arrived,
and I hear she is going to be here on Sat.
I have a cold settled in my teeth,
and Alice a severe one in her head.
Last night we all attended Mr.
Adams recitations. He did
well, and some of his pupils,
did even better. Bishop Simpsons
son, spoke Barbara Fri[?],
with great effect. The family
all heard Gough on Monday
evening, "Peculiar People" was
his subject. Mrs. Leeming I
suppose will be married as
soon as school closes, and
perhaps a little before, the
ceremony will probably take
place at Dr. Newton's church,
though she may be married
at home, and leave for Canada
directly. I am sorry to lose her.
