Saturday 31 January. Society convened by special
request occasioned by the distressing conflagration on Friday
night 30th of the building belonging to Phillips Academy & also
of the library ordered by the Social Fraternity. Meeting opened
by prayer. A Committee was then appointed consisting of
Mr. President K. Lanborn & J. Burnham to ascertain the
loss of books papers [etc.?] and report at a subsequent meeting.
Meeting adjourned till February 6, half an hour past 6 P.M.
