Winslow, Stocker, and Palmer, together with the President
and V. President were chosen to constitute the Executive
Committee. Farnum took the office of door-keeper.
Some farther assignments for the next meeting were
then declared, and the Society adjourned.

Society convened. Meeting opened as usual.
After which a composition was read by Hackett [adispu?]
by Newell + Homes on the subject "are capital
punishments justifiable. Affirmative Homes, negative
Newell. Cleavland declaimed.
It was then proposed that the exercise of forensic
disputation should be committed + spoken - [?]
taken + [negatived?]. The parts for the next meeting
were then assigned + the soc. adjourned.
