I think my side is better. recd a Letter from my much esteemed friend Mr. Haller they were all well a great blessing. 9th first pank? plesant took in 2195 sacks of wheat which unflets? the stibbning? we will go to oakland to complete the Load-ing. Latter pank? raising? my side is better but still verry lame 10th fine weather at 7 a m tugboat came along side & we cast off from the dock & towed to Oakland at 11 a.m. commenced to take cargo from the steamer City of stockton 3640 sacks

Decr 11th 79 this day fine weather recd 3000.sacks of wheat from the Stockton steamer. i am feeling better. Rec a letter from home all well 12th fine weather no cargo to day. my Back & side is better 13th fine weather took in Cargo from the Stockton 2820 sacks & 16 car Loads from the wharf which makes us near 1000 tons. My ack & side is better to day. 14th fine weather //////////(words stricken out) i am improving in health. went to 1st Congregational Church in Oakland text John 3rd 15th 15th fine weather took 2170 sacks from steamer & 14 Carloads had a present of a Baguet? & a fentuna? from ship Buddington! 16th thick fog until 2 P.M. took wheat from two scow schooners i am feeling better got a Paras? planter? to put on my Back. Mr Talbot went with me to Buy Rubber boots bought a case at $39.
