As we fish till after 8,
it gets very cold, but
the middays are like June.
It is a most lovely place.

I had no luck at all
yesterday on my bank - only
rose one fish as it was
getting dark, which I took
after a sharp struggle. But
Neville got 4, which is

a good omen for the future
of the Party! I have
had some most interesting
talks with him

To day I am going
out with Mr Wood, &
hope to learn a good deal,
for he is probably the
greatest fisherman living.

I am extraordinarily
well, but so sleepy that
