The Senate after fully considering
the application of Mr. Burgess, and the above
documents resolved to admit him to the University
examination as a candidate for graduation
but not as a competitor for honours.

The Senate adjourned.

Queen's University April 24th 1868

The Senate met and was constituted.
Sederunt Principal Snodgrass, Professors
Williamson, Murray, Bell, McKerras and Mowat.

The minutes of last meeting and of the meeting
held on the 2d of April were read and approved.

On a review of the written examinations in
Arts the Senate sustained the University examination
of the following undergraduates, named in the
order of merit, viz.

2. Robert J. Craig
3. Edwin H Dickson
4. James Chambers
5. Andrew McCullock

Fenwick to be examined
orally
[/margin]

H.N. Fenwick not having been present at
the examination in Greek on the plea that he was
not aware of the day on which it was held, it was
agreed to examine him orally in that branch on
Tuesday next.
