As to the immediate future, the new College would be
entitled to one-fifth of receipts on account of the Jubilee
Fund, and to all subscriptions specially ear-marked
for it. The class-fees required of students in Arts, having
the Presbyterian Ministry in view, were not to be
increased over the present figures without the consent
of the affiliated College.

The report embodying these recommendations was
unanimously adopted by the Board: Clause 34 in Draft
Bill being amended, and passed, and Clause 35 approved.
Thereupon, the Whole Bill, as amended was passed, and
the Chancellor, the Principal, Messrs Calvin and
Macdonnell in association with Hon Wm. Harty and
Mr Lavell, M.P, requested to act as a committee to take
charge of the Bill in its course through Parliament.
Before the Board rose, it placed on record its sense of
personal regret, and of the University's loss, in the
death of Dr. John Thompson, of Sarnia, an old and
tried friend of the University, as Trustee, Benefactor,
and Lecturer. A copy of this expression of personal
regard and sympathy was duly sent to Mrs. Thompson.
The next meeting of the Board, May 21st 1903, was held
in Knox College, Toronto, 1 p.m.

The Principal reported the proceedings of the meeting
of the General Assembly's Committee with the Trustees,
