On the 2nd October a letter, dated 8th Septr from
the Revd Dr. Snodgrass, intimating his resignation of the office
of Principal of Queen's University and College, and Primarius Professor
of Divinity, was laid before the Board of Trustees. The
resignation having been accepted, the following Minute was unanimously adopted;
"In accepting the resignation of Dr. Snodgrass as Principal
of this University the Board desires to record their sense
of the eminent ability and success with which he has administered
its affairs during the thirteen years of his Principalship."
