[?] such place a [?], or reservoir
should be constructed in which the
fish could be kept until fully ripe
for spawning: Another requisite
in connection with the reservoir is
a reliable means for supplying
it with fresh water; It might
suggest itself to the inexperienced that,
a pen might be constructed along
the Lake or Bay shore which would
at all times be supplied with the
Lake water: this would almost
certainly prove a failure in so
far as the security of the fish were
concerned, as the roughness of the
water caused by wind, on the lake
would destroy any structure of this
kind, and the fish would Escape.

I therefore think the plan sug-
gested by Mr. Parker of joining
a pen in some sheltered spot, to be
supplied constantly with water
by the working of the Wind-mill
would overcome all difficulties,
and would I think result [?]
Economically in the end, more
Especially would this be the
case if the Wind-mill, and
pen, could be constructed at
the low figure of $150.00

Mr Wm. Parker

Dear Sir
I wired you today
that the Minister has ordered
some 5,000,000 of your Eggs to go
to B.C. and that you should go
to work and make preparations for
the shipment – You [should?] better
get the boxes made a new [kind?] in
a more rough style than those
you have, as those sent to B.C. will
not come back again – You will have
to pack up very carefully the glass
Jars so that they will not get broken
En route you will also have to prepare
the hose and taps and also send along
one of your safety tubes of perforated
tin as a sample, or better still [even?]
send three of four of your own
and get some new ones made for
yourself – if something is not sent
the fry will get out of their troughs
[aside?] [?] – I think the whole
affair [very?] [making?] indeed, for even
when the Eggs reach B.C. there
is no [?] there knows anything
