JULY & AUGUST 1936

1 August SATURDAY

We left Crosshaven at 10 p.m. tonight and set a South
West course on a beat for the Old Head of Kinsale
We are all looking forward to a delightful 3 weeks
holiday and it appears as though we will have
good weather for our cruise as there is a beautiful
moon with a cloudless sky tonight making a perfect
night for sailing.

2 SUNDAY

An unexpected blow late last night blew us far off our course
and after many weary hours running before the gale we
have taken shelter at a tiny village called Ardmore.
