sunshine and under full sail we were sighted at 8 a.m. and would
arrive at the ballast ground at 3 p.m. Almost on the tick of
3 o'clock a plane arrived and flew over and round us at a very low
altitude several times, probably feeling very disappointed they
hadn't seen us in full sail.

And so the voyage round the world in sail is over. Port
Victoria to Port Victoria by way of Cape Horn and the Cape of Good
Hope - 244 days at sea.
