My dear Bishop
Your note of
invitation for my good husband
reached me yesterday -- & I prompt
-ly reply -- Mr. Boyd & my son
are still in Europe -- (I do
not know when they intend to
return. We shall be most
happy if you will pay our
sad household a visit--
You would no doubt be
grieved not to meet the
warm grasp of my dear old
Father's hand -- and hear
his joyous voice -- but still
you would be pleased to
hear of the joyous Xtian
death he died -- a baptized
member of our holy church. | 185Kilmarnock Sep 21st
