Ashwood Oct. 4th, 1860.

Mr & Mrs. S. W.{?} Dorsey regret
it will not be in their power
to accept the polite invitation
of the Executive Committee of the
University of the South to be
present at the laying of the
Corner stone on the 10th --
But they wish to offer their
most cordial sympathy
& earnest good wishes for the
prosperity of the Institution
they believe so closely connected
with the interests & advancement
of the church Catholic --
