In reply to your letter of the
8th of January last, I have the honor
to state, that on reference to the
settlement order Book it appears, Mr
Dulhunty was appointed to take
charge of the Engineer Department on the
15th day of August 1825, and was relieved
from that duty on the 21st. day of March
1826_
I have also the honor to report that
Mr Spicer embarked on the Amity to
take charge as Superintendant of Convicts
on the 30th of August last
In complyance with the request
of His Excellency the Governor I shall
take every opportunity of pursuing the
Discoveries reported in my letter of 28th August
last and endeavour to ascertain as accurately
as possible every particular connected with
Moreton Bay and the adjacent country
