................... Sheweth.

................................. That Petitioner's husband
Reubin Pate was adjudged guilty of Larceny
at the Supreme Court at Sydney in September
1827 and sentenced to seven Years [sic] transportation
and subsequently pursuant thereto forwarded
with other Prisoners to Moreton Bay.

.................................. That Petitioner has four Children
dependent on her solely for support, who with
Petitioner live to deplore the unforseen misfortune
of their Father who prior to this unhappy event
supported an upright and industrious Character
and even at the Settlement (where Petitioner lived
with him for three years but was Compelled to
Return to Sydney for the more efficient support
of her rising family) his conduct has been
exemplary ..........

That Petitioner's husband as will
be seen has now served upwards of four years of
his Sentence of transportation, and that ^ [added above] (at) a penal
