[letter]

Penrith April 2nd 1852

Sir

I have the honor to
to inform you that the mounted
men of the Gold Gaurd [sic] decline
to receive from me the forage
for the Supply of their horses
on the Grounds that the contract
does not extend to them as it
has nothing to do with the
Colonial Service as in the
notice calling for tenders there
was nothing said to lead me to
Suppose the horses attached to the
Gold Gaurd [sic] in this district
Were not to be Supplied by me
and as I Purchased the Supplies
on the belief that I should be
Permitted to Supply them I
request either the

men
