The Town Council of the Town of Columbia
met in regular session at 8 o'clock PM
with Mayor Reeves in the chiar.
Roll Call answered to by full number of
the council.
Minuted of last meeting read and apporved
without correction.
Report of City Attorney on road-tax claim
against King Co heard and motion was
made to accept the preliminary report and
at a cost not exceeding $20. Carried.
Ordinance amending Ordinance No 1
which provides for the posting of ordinances
read and on motion was passed as read
Clerk's report of bids for bridge repairs
read and motion was made to lay the
matter on the table until next meeting
and give it further considerationin the
meantime. Carried.
Bill of Council stationary presented by
the Clerk and on motion warrant was
ordered drawn on Emergency Funds for the
amount of 25 cents.
Petition of F D Black and H H A Hastings
to reduce certain street grade assessments
read and on motion was rejected.
Motion made that an eletion be ordered for
the First Tuesday after the First Monday in
December 1897 for the election of three
councilmen for terms of two years each
and one Town Treasurer for one year; and
that the Clerk be insturcted to give due
notice of same according to law. Carried.
Motion made that Council adjourn to meet
again Monday evening November 8th 1897 carried.
On motion meeting adjourned.
