& purchase materials. Read 2nd time and
referred to the Judiciary Committee.

B of A Bill No. 11
An Ordinance to provide for the appoint-
ment of a clerk for the different Com-
mittees of the H of D and B of A. Read
2nd time and referred to the Judiciary Com.

H of D Bill No. 1
An Ordinance to create the office of
Inspector of Buildings to prescribe his
duties and confirmation. Read 2nd time
and on Motion of Miller was referred to the
Committee on Public Buildings and Grounds.

Joint Resolution No. 2
Pertaining to the Water Supply as follows:
Recommend That the Board of Public Works
be instructed to investigate the plans of
Beuzette Williams for a system of water
supply for the City of Seattle with a
view to ascertaining the adaptability
to the present requirement of the City
and also to ascertain in case said plans
should be adopted upon what terms
Mr. Williams would transfer the plans
to the City and name all claims against
the City on amount due for services
rendered and report to the City Council
the result of such investigation and
negotions at the earliest possible time.
On Motion the rules were suspended and
the bill read 3rd time and passed
