Be it remebered that on this the25th day of April, 1884 the
Commn Council of the City of Seattle meets i its; Council
Chamber pursuant to adjournment for considering 4th St grade matter.
The following Officers are present to wit: His Honorthe Mayor H G Struve
& Councilmen Geo W Harris, John Keenen, Chas McDonald, B L
Northrup
, U M Rasin & F W Wusthoff
Thereupon the following proceedings are had:
Reports Rec'd
From the surveyor submitting a map & elevations for pro-
posed grade of Madison Street. Referred to a Special Comtee
To wit: councilmen McDonald, Northrup & Keenan
A report is rec'd from the Atty on the matter of the 4th Street Grade
A motion to allow the Construction Bondsman on said Street
an allowance for earth borrowed is lost.
Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned

Approved H G Struve mayor
On now this 25th day of April 1884 immediately after ad-
journment as above Council meets pursuant to call
of His Honor the Mayor to consider an ordinance to amend
sec 1 of Ordinance No 536
Present: His Honor the Mayor H G Struve& Councilmen Geo
W Harris
, John Keenen, Chas McDonald, B LNorthrup, U M
Rasin
& F W Wusthoff
An ordinance is submitted entitled "To amend section one of Ordi-
nance No 536 to establish and regulate the Fire Department of the
City of Seattle", After due consideration said ordinance is adopted
upon the following vote to wit: in favor of adoption Harris, Keenan,
McDonald, Northrup, Rasin & Wusthoff. Against adoption none.
Ordered that the council stand now adjourned.
