Ordinances The City Clerk submits an Ordinance entitled "A special ordinance appropriating money to pay audited bills" which is passed by the following vote; in favor of the same Furth, Frink, Green, Hinckley, Russell & Reitze. Against none. 143 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Jan 25 187 Petitions etc Petition of F E Sander et al for the extension of Front Street. Referred to Street Committee Petition of D E Davison et al for the improvement of the Alley between Third & Fourth Streets running north from Pine Street through Block 52 of A A Dennys Addition Referred to Street Committee Petition of L S Booth for a street light on Jefferson Street at the intersection of Fifth Street. Granted with an amendment extending the lights on Jefferson Street from 5th Street to Seventh Street inclusive Petition of Wm D O'Toole et al for Street Lights inRailroad Alley backof Seneca and Spring Streets. Granted Remonstrance of B F Briggs et al against the improvement of Seventh Street. Referred to Street Committee Committee Reports received From Committee on Sewers and Drainage on petition of L B Andrews et al for the extension of Madison Street Sewer recommending that the same be granted. Adopted From Street Committee onpetition of HL Yesler et al for opening Cedar Street between 8th St & 9th St and the alley recommendign that the same by granted adopted. From Sewer Committee on petition of F E Sander et al for a sewer in the alley in Block 10 if Maynard's plat recommending that the same be not granted but that the surface water in said alley be drained by a box drain connecting with Washington Street Sewer. adopted From Finance Committee approving the monthly reports of City Jailor, Justice Geo A Hill and the City Treasurer.

145 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Jan 25 1887 The City Attorney submits an Ordinance entitled "An ordinance to construct a sidewalk on the west side of Front Street" which is passed by the following vote In favor of the same Furth, Frink, Green, Hinckley, Russell & Reitze. Against none. The City Attorney submits an Ordinance entitled "An ordinance vacating an alley or street in Block 16 of Burke's Addition to the City of Seattle" which is passed by the following vote In favor of the same Furth, Frink, Green, Hinckley, Russell and Reitze. Against none. The City Attorney submits an Ordinance entitled "An ordinance to lay off and establish a public street along the shore and over land covered by waters of Elliott's Bay extending from the north boundary line of the City of Seattle to Columbia Street in said city to be known as and called Railroad Avenue" which after due consideration by the council is passed by the following vote In favor of the same J Furth, J M Frink, Joseph Green, T D Hinckley, R Russell and C F Reitze. Against none. The Clerk submits an Ordinance entitled "A special ordinance appropriating money to pay audited bills" which is passed by the following vote In favor of the same Furth, Frink, Green, Hinckley, Russell and Reitze.
