Be it remembered that on this 1st day of July 1887
the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in
its Council Chamber pursuant to adjournment. The fol-
lowing officers are present, viz: Mayor W H Shoudy
and Councilmen Coulter, Furth, Frink, Green, Hinckley,
Lake, Russell & Reitze The minutes of the last meet-
ing were read and approved. Thereupon the follow-
ing proceedigngs are had to wit:
Petitions & Communications Rec'd
Petition of H L Yesler & Others to grade Mill Street from
a point between Fourth and Fifth Streets to Williamson St
Read and Referred to the Street Committee and the City
surveyor instructed to establish the grade of Mill Street
Petition of A Slorah & others to open Sixth Street in
Pontius Addition from Lake Street to Battery Street
Read & referred to the Street Committee
Petition of R C Crawford & others asking the City
to furnish petitioners 240 feet of 18 inch sewer pipe
for alley in Block 61 Denny's Addition, petitioners
agreeing to lay said pipe at their own expense. Read
and referred to Committee on Sewers and Drainage.
Remonstrance of Wm Renton & others against Seventh
Street
assessment Roll under Ordinance No 829. Tabled.
