Be it remembered that on this 29th day of
August1887 the Common Council of the City of
Seattle meets in the Council Chamber pursuant
to adjournment. Present the following officers :
Present Acting Mayor J.Furth, and Councilmen Frink,
Green,Moran, Niesz, Russell & Reitze and W R Forrest
Clerk.
The Council continues the revision and examination
of the Assessment Roll ofthe year 1887
P Singerman appeared in answer to citation and
motion the assessment of Messrs Toklas & Singerman
is placed at $35,000.00
Ordered that the assessment of the Gordon Hardware
Co
be reduced to $18,500. on personal property.
Ordered that Levy Bros be assessed on Mer-
chandise $2000.
Ordered that the assessment against the Sisters
of the Holy Names
, The Sisters of Charity, of the
House of Providence Grace Hospital and the Ladies Relief Society
be stricken from the roll.
Ordered that [A Ammunds]] be raised on Improve-
ments on Lot 7 Blk 80 Terry's Second Addition
from $400 to $800.00
Ordered that Mary Costello be raised on Improv-
ments on Lot 2 blk 104 Terry's Second Addition
from $75.00 to $200 and on Lot 3 Blk 104 Terry's Second
Addition
from $200 to $225.
