Be it remembered that on this 21st day of
September A D 1888 the Common Coouncilof the
Cityof Seattle meets in its Council Chamber
pursuant to law. The following officers are
present to wit: Mayor Robt Moran and Councilmen
Burns, Durie, Green, Jones, McCombs, McDonald and
Reitze. the following proceedings are had to wit:
Petitions etc.
Petition of Wm H Cowie for permission to raise and move
wooden building in rear of his premises on East
side of South Second Street between Mill & Washington
Street
s, read and referred to Com on Fire & Water.
Petition of the Puget Sound Improvement Company asking
that the provision of Ordinance No 837 relating to the
widening of Second Street be carried into effect
read and referred to the Street Committee
Petition of the Puget Sound Improvement Company to have
Second Street planked from James Street to Marion Street
read and referred to the Committee on Streets
Petitionof W F Dearborn to have the name of Cedar
Street
in Bell's Addition changed so as to not
interfere with Cedar Street in Terry's 1st Addition read
and referred to Street committee.
Petition of M Keezer for permission to raise side-
walk on Terrace Street read and referred to the Street Com.
Petition of W W Burritt & others for a sewer in
Virginia Street, read and referred to Com of Sewers & Drainage
Petition of W Copeland and others for a drain ditch
on Tenth Street from Howell to Depot Street read and
referred to Street Committee.
