Plats Approved
The Plat of Lake Dell Addition is approved.
The Plat of D.M. Cranes Addition is approved.
The Plat of Ayer and Walkers Addition is approved.
Ordered that the Fire and Water Committee be authorized to inform the
Spring Hill Water Co. that the Council approve the laying of water
mains along that street.
Ordered that the Judiciary Committee and City Attorney prepare
and forward to Olympia the necessary bill for carrying into effect
the constitutional povisions regarding cities framing their own charters.
Ordinances
The City Clerk reads:
"An Ordinance authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to enter into contract
with J.T. Ronald, employing said J.T. Ronald to prosecute to final judgement
all delinquent grade tax now due, for the grading of streets
in said city, and to pay the said J.T. Ronald for said services the sum
of five per cent on all moneys collected from said proceedings."
Consideration deferred until the next meeting of the Council.
The City Attorney submits
1276 "An ordinance authorizing the Standard Oil Company a corporation doing
business in the City of Seattle, in the State of Washington to temporarily lay
down and maintain a railroad switch track from a point where the Columbia
and Puget Sound Railroad intersects South Ninth Street, in the City of Seattle,
to the warehouse of said Standard Oil Company not exceeding a distance in
length of two hundred feet."
Which is passed by the following vote - In favor D.E. Durie G.W. Hall
T.E. Jones H.F. Phillips F.A. Twichell J.N. Wallingford Harry White
Against the same none:
Ordered that the Council do now adjourn until MOnday January 13th 1890 at 7:30 P.M.
