May, Wednesday 26th 1886.
Edwd: P Thomas called on
his way to meeting. I drove in the
carriage to Chas Stabler's and
brought Sister Harriet's trunk home
with me. She having walked from
there to our house soon after breakfast.
Fred: Iddings walked up
from Laurel + arrived at our house
about 11-o'clk. [Afterward] took
the two Harriets to "Sharon" to the
funeral of friend Sarah Stabler
driving "Fritz" to the carriage
after our return. Dora took her
aunt Harriet over to "Riverside" to
say "good bye" going in the buggy
+ driving "Fritz". After supper
Mary Gilpin called + sister H. +
Dora walked home with her to
"look at the rosebushes". Willie
put the hind wheels of the spring
wagon on to my old []. to
drive the Hopkins colt to-
Elizabeth Franklin here for
advice + medicine for her daughter.

60 Cloudy + Clearing Variable winds
May, Thursday 27th 1886.
Sister Harriet left for
Philada going to Laurel in the
stage. Fred Iddings going at
the same time. I felt quite
unwell all day - Afternoon
Harriet + Edward walked
over to "Homewood" + spent
the afternoon. I went after
them in the carriage, before
our tea time. but they had
supper before I reached there.
Uncle [Henson] worked in the
garden all day - Willie did
not go to school but worked
some in the garden. Thunder
gustpassed south of us just
about sundown + another
came up from the S.W. after dark.
