meeting, & left the butter
Afternoon we all walked
over to the grave yard and
meeting house & by [lyceum?]
Charley & Willey came home
before supper time; after tea
Willie took Dora & Nelly and
her children in the carriage
over to Edward Pierces to spend a few days-

Commenced thundering and lightning before sunrise with
rain & continued at intervials
throughout the day until before
sundown it cleared off considerably
cooler than for a
day or two past "Uncle Henson"
came to work but could do
but little in consequence of
the rain. Willie did not go
to school. This was an unsusual
sort of a day, as to the weather
yesterday having been one of the
most perfect spring days, one
could imagine or wish for &
this a continuous thunderstorm
