Raw and cold all day. Mrs G.
"Matt" Beall was here to consult me
for her daughter"Katy." Gilbert Smith
Jr: & Henry Fitzhkugh Jr: were here,
the former to consult me & get
medicine, starting tomorrow back to
Swarthmore to school. I walked to
Jas: Hill's to see his wife in
consultation with Charley and rode home
with him, he going in the phaeton.
The woman will hardly live through
to night. R. Roland Moore Jr: and
wife called for mediciine for the
latter. Willie & Dora went to
church at "Crow Town" & remained
to tea at Edwd Peirce's. Mrs Robison
& the boys spend the evening with
us.

Willie went after early breakfast
over to Thos Lea's to help him in his
shop, coming home whilst we were
at supper. Charley tinkered at
fixing his sleigh "dash." R.Roland
Moore Jr's team brough us a cord
of saw'd oak wood after dinner
and I put it away in the wood shed
C helping me when I was nearly done.
Jno: Abel borrowed C's mare to attend
the funeral of Laura Hill
who died on Sunday night last.
After supper Willie went down to
a "practice" of the "mouth organ band"
at Sherwood School House. It is
cloudy & cold looking like more snow.
I am glad we have wood in the
wood house before more snow falls
& wish we had twice as much as
we have.
