Beautiful morning. Willie
came to help do some repairs
at the stable &^c Miss Alice
Tyson & her nurse Ida were
at the Office for advice & medicine
for the latter. J.T. Henderson
called to see me. Herbert
L. Kirk arrived on bicycle
from Laurel & Philad^a Ernest
Iddings also called. Afternoon
"Old John" came & did some
odd jobs for us. I went with Jas. T.
Henderson & F Leizear to the
School House to see about building
the new School House. Miss Martha
Holland brought Mrs H.J. Nic___ and
Miss Kate Mathews to call upon H
& Dora. There was a game of Base
Ball in Alan Farquhar's field.

Tuesday Aug. 2,^d 1897.

I went with Jas. T. Henderson to
Rockville, leaving here at 7.o'clock
a.m. We attended to School business
and returned in time for dinner.

Afternoon Willie came & brought
some money he secured for us. Mr
J.T. Henderson called & looked over
the news paper. Herbert went to
"Riverside", Eldon, &^c After supper
Harry & Helen Lea called. Harry
& I walked over to the School House
lot & he shewd me where the lines
were run. I went to the mill
for horse feed before supper.
