Cold, cold, this morning; and
the wind blowing strong from
N.W. Edwd came home after midnight
last from the party at "Tangle wood".
James Hill was here for advice
& medicine for this father. Edwd
& I went to meeting. Edwd Farquhar
gave us a discourse upon "truth".
Afternoon Edwd drove over to
Mrs Janney's & from there to Fairfield
where he may stay all night.
I went over to Mrs Robison's and
spent an hour or two. The wind
has gone down but it is cold.
Thermometer 22 at sunset.

Not quite as cold as yesterday
but still cold enough. I was
called to see Old Mrs Leizear.
Afterward walked to Ashton &
back, whilst there I prepared some
powders for bro Charles & sent them
by John Green who was there.
Edwd came home from "Fairfield"
before lunch time and afternoon
he went to Mrs Ellicott's & put in
their "storm windows". J Hewitt
brought us another load of wood.
The annual meeting of the insurance
Co. was held at the Lyceum
today. Towards evening I went
again to see Mrs Leizear.
Kate Stabler called to see us.
After supper Edwd went to a meeting
of the "singing class" at "Mt
