Then adjourned to meet at Chas. H. Brooke's
Nov 21st 1874.

B. H. Miller Sec. pro tem.

11th Mo 21st 1874.

The Enterprise Club met at Chas. H. Brookes
and was called to order near 5 o'clock by Jos. T. Moore
as Foreman & PT. Stabler Sec for the day. Wm S.
Brooke, Saml. Hopkins + Wm S. Bond were absent.
We had as guests Capt Jas. Strain, Chas. Farquhar, Jas.
W. Janney, Jas. Stabler.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and
we started on our tour of inspection. The Flower beds
under the windows tho' robbed of their former bright
colors and green leaves were held firmly in their places
by iron bands waiting for another spring to make
them again fresh and green. The new Pit in the
garden was well filled with flowers, blooming on
as though winter was not upon us. The Celery
bed showed the effect of dry weather. We next went to
the new dairy which though a long way from the
house was very complete. Next crossed a piece of
meadow with a 4th crop of corn being gathered from it.
The young cattle were looking very well. The wheat
stacks were still standing. The hay house is yet standing
without a roof. There was a fine lot of hogs
being fed around the stable, without any
pens to collect the manure, nor good warm
shelter to sleep under wasting much valuable.
fertilizer and considerable corn that
should go to producing fat instead of help
