8th Ques Is not ten bushels of lime per acre enough. This
question led to an animated discussion upon the
merits of different kids of lime, and nearly every
one thought it best to apply it more freely than ten
brs per acre.
9th How is the best way to raise a calf 5 weeks old
this time of year. some said let it run with cow
others said feed it on hay tea meal & c and some
thought the calf would do better with both combined
10th Will it make a fresh cow sell better if knobs are
put on her horns. Nine members thought it would.
11th What interest will a barn pay on investment, for
protecting of hay and grain alone. From 10 to 50 perct
12th Our hot wished to know what the Club thought of his dividing his farm in two parts, the one
nearest house to be kept entirely for pasture, and the other cropped, and clover burned much frequently.
Some approved the plan as it would dispense with a great amount of fencing.
Edw P. Thomas was appointed to make extracts
from our minutes, to be read at the next Farmers
Convention.
The regular business of the meeting was very much
interrupted by indiscriminate talking.
