Several changes might be made in the management of our Fair, either of which, would add more or less to its success. If we were to adopt the plan of our sister county of Frederick, giving to each lady contributor, a free ticket of admittance, and it is a well known fact, that where one women goes, one or more men, are apt to follow, and children neccessarily. And, it seems to me, that if a Special Committee, could be appointed to co=operate with the President, who now has too much labor To perform, and go among the farmers, especially those in the more remote districts, and exhort

by public meetings, speech or in any way, that will best reach them, to take an interest in the Fair, and bring the best products of their farms. We could then, within ourselves, and without the foreign aid, to which we now have to resort, make our Fair successful, and equal to any others.

I forbear to close my essay without some allusion to the Grange, an organization so large and respectable, & so closely connected with the very subject of which I write, and in giving my indivisual opinion _______
